Some books in the Department of Papyri can only be consulted in the collection's special reading room. These books will be handed out to you in the collection's reading room. In this regard, please note the shorter opening hours of the collection.
Your day ticket or annual membership card is only valid in the reading room of the Department of Papyri. To visit the Papyrus Museum you need a separate entrance ticket. You can purchase it directly at the service desk Heldenplatz or conveniently in our ticket shop.
