Use of content made available on Austrian National Library websites

The Austrian National Library makes content or digital copies of its holdings available online on its websites. The Austrian National Library does not assert any copyright user rights of its own to this content. To this extent, it also expressly agrees to the subsequent use of this content in the resolution retrievable from the web. This also applies to the use of this content in online forums, blogs and social media channels such as Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest etc. Irrespective of this, the user must clarify any existing third-party rights to the content individually before any subsequent use.

For scans created by the cooperation partner Google, this authorisation for subsequent use applies with the restriction that the scans may be used for a limited period of time and only for non-commercial purposes. Information about the end of this period can be accessed together with the object in question. Enquiries regarding commercial uses of reproductions of these holdings during this period will be answered by our information service viainformation[at]onb.ac.at.

When using our content, we request that you provide a picture credit (title, date and other available descriptions) and a source reference (citation link from [Portal] and the reference "[Portal]/Austrian National Library"). For postings on Facebook or Instagram, we request a link to the corresponding Austrian National Library account.
