KONDE – Kompetenznetzwerk Digitale Edition

Brief description

Aim of the project is to build and further develop a sustainable national research infrastructure for digital editions.  The main tasks comprise the compilation of best practice guidelines (white paper) to the different aspects of digital editions, a strategic concept for pooling the competences in this area as well as the building of the national infrastructure and reference implementations. KONDE is organised as an open network of participating institutions. As a first pilot, selected diaries of Andreas Okopenko as well as ONB’s first library catalogue written in 1576 by Hugo Blotius who was the first official librarian of the Viennese Court Library will be realised in the local digital edition application.
