Auch Hermann Kosel wird als Schüler von Julius Klinger in "Poster Art in Vienna" erwähnt. Zusammen mit Max Frey betrieb er bis 1927 das Werbeatelier "Cosl-Frey".

"These two thirty years old men of slender build are at once long tried friends and members of the Klinger group. They have gained much fame in Vienna: Pregnancy of lines, originality of coloration and forcefulness of ideas are the most striking features of their performances.
Like all other members of this Group they are American fanatics. There is hardly an American film which they have not been to see and followed with critical commentaries. Films in which New York Streets or Harold Lloyd play the chief part, they even have a look at two or three times. And it always turns out that their specific domain is the figural depiction of elegant men and women.
As passionate friends of sport they approach the modern contribution to sports with a full understanding. That these two young artists have a great future is sure, for they continue to work with intense earnestness on the development of the coloristic figural representations of their graphic art."

Kosels Wien-Plakat ist das Siegerplakat beim 1935 ausgeschriebenen Wettbewerb der Fremdenverkehrsstelle, es wurde in verschiedenen Sprachen gedruckt. Mit seinen Komplementärfarben Goldgelb und Grün und der klaren Beschriftung in schmuckloser Grotesk-Schrift bietet es dem Beschauer ein Konzentrat von Wien: vom Maria Theresien-Denkmal, das im Vordergrund die linke Begrenzung darstellt, schiebt sich das Heldentor mit einem blühenden Kastanienbaum in das Bildzentrum. Auf die Innenstadt weisen die Michaelerkuppel und der spitze Kirchturm der Michaelerkirche hin. Kultur und Großstadtflair, Frühling, Kunst und Geschichte, zusammengefasst in graphisch perfektem Hell-Dunkel.
